This private excursion is a roundtrip by 4x4 Jeep through the world famous Quebrada de Humahuaca, the salt lakes of Northwest Salta and the desert of Atacama (Chile) with its geisers and moonlike landscape. You will be making the excursion together with a professional private guide/driver. 

Day 1 Leaving Salta and visit to the Quebrada de Humahuaca (Jujuy), visiting both Tilcara and Humahuaca. Lodging in a typical posada in Humahuaca village.

Day 2 Leaving Humahuaca up North via the Ruta 9 to the unique region of Iruya. Here you will make a light trekking. In the late afternoon you will return to the Humahuaca (lodging in Humahuaca).

Day 3 Today you will head direction Chile, visiting the village of Purmamarca, passing the Salinas Grandes and the Puna town of Susques, crossing the Paso de Jama at 4400 meters height, to arrive in the late afternoon in San Pedro de Atacama, Chile (lodging in San Pedro de Atacama).

Day 4 Once in San Pedro de Atacama you will of course visit the famous Geiser del Tatio and  (lodging in San Pedro de Atacama).

Day 5 Leaving early morning for your trip back to Salta. We can take care of lodging in Salta if you want to. 

We need a minimum of two persons for this excursion. Prices on request.
